In an era where high-speed connectivity is the heartbeat of economic growth, Telestream is proud to announce its pivotal role in transforming Sri Lanka’s digital landscape. Through a strategic collaboration with Dialog and the Lanka Electricity Company (LECO), we are spearheading an ambitious nationwide fiberization process designed to power the next generation of broadband and smart utility services.

Strengthening the Core: 4G and 5G Infrastructure

At the center of this initiative is the fiberization of Dialog’s 4G and 5G site backhauling infrastructure. By transitioning these sites to high-capacity fiber, we are ensuring the backbone of the mobile network can support the massive data demands of high-speed broadband services for both residential and enterprise users.

Smart Utilities: The LECO Meter Integration

This project also breaks new ground in utility management by connecting LECO meters via fiber. This integration is a critical step toward a smarter, more responsive power grid, allowing for seamless data transmission and enhanced service reliability for consumers.

Proving the Concept: Success in Nugegoda and Rajagiriya

Telestream has successfully completed the first two pilot projects in Nugegoda and Rajagiriya. Utilizing high-quality ADSS cables and accessories, we provided comprehensive, end-to-end solutions that demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of our deployment model.

Following the success of these pilots, Telestream is honored to be appointed as the incumbent delivery partner for Dialog’s upcoming round of Cluster development.

Impact by the Numbers

Our current provisioning targets and day-one achievements highlight the rapid pace of this rollout:

  • Total Provisioning Target: 1,500 residential and enterprise locations, along with 200 LECO meters.

  • Day-One Milestone: Successfully completed fiberization for 20 residential connections and 15 LECO meters.

This partnership represents more than just technical infrastructure; it is about building the foundation for a more connected and efficient future. At Telestream, we remain committed to delivering the excellence required to keep our communities moving forward.
